Meet The Mind Hive

Hi, I'm Alex – creator of The Mind Hive

I’m currently training to become a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist, but my passion for mental wellbeing began long ago.

Through my own personal journey of self-discovery, I’ve experienced the power of structured mental health tools—especially Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)—to shift negative patterns, reduce overwhelm, and restore confidence.

That’s why I created The Mind Hive: to make these evidence-based strategies accessible to anyone ready to take control of their mental wellbeing.

I may not be offering 1:1 counselling sessions just yet, but I’ve poured my training, research, and lived experience into a collection of CBT-based, 6-week self-help programmes designed to help you:

  • Understand and manage your thoughts and emotions

  • Overcome anxiety, low self-esteem, burnout, and more

  • Rebuild motivation and confidence

  • Take action that’s meaningful, structured, and at your pace

Feel free to send me a message anytime whether you’ve already started your CBT self-help journey, or if you’re thinking about taking the plunge!

What is CBT & How Can It Help?

What is CBT?

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a scientifically proven, structured approach to mental health that helps people change unhelpful thought patterns and behaviours. Unlike traditional talk therapy, CBT is focused on practical solutions and measurable progress, helping you feel better in the here and now.

Who Can CBT Help?

CBT is highly effective for a wide range of mental health issues and life challenges, including; Anxiety Disorders (like social anxiety, panic attacks, phobias, OCD), Depression & Low Mood, Trauma & PTSD, Addiction & Behavioural Issues, Stress & Burnout, and Grief & Loss.

Does CBT Work?

CBT is one of the most effective forms of therapy available today. Studies show that CBT is 50-75% effective in treating anxiety and depression in adults. Research also indicates that CBT is as effective as medication for many mental health conditions, making it a highly recommended first-line treatment.
